Case Study: TT Virtual Care in Mongolia
In our remote Mongolia location, our 2-year-old daughter took a terrible fall directly on to her head on the cement floor.
When I picked her up, she was in a very awkward position. Her eyes crossed as if she was going unconscious. After a while she threw up and became very pale.
It was very scary.
What should we do?
My husband was able to call Virtual Healthcare through his app, requesting a callback quickly. Within 10 minutes, a doctor from Shanghai called us. The doctor was able to help us look at her symptoms and gave clear information as what to watch for to see if any brain injury would result and when we should take her to a hospital. However, in our remote location, I’m not sure what they could even do! We were able to ask several more questions, and the doctor called back in 2-3 hours to see how things were going.
This experience, although quite frightening, was made a lot more peaceful by being able to talk to a health professional about what we really should be looking for. The internet has too much information, and it is not specific to the situation. We are so thankful for this service! It saved us a lot of stress about wondering if we should brave going to the local hospital to see what they could do or to evacuate immediately.”

All consultations are free. Any prescriptions, tests, or treatments the doctor might recommend will follow your usual policy terms.

Our doctors can help with a wide range of non-emergency health concerns. They’ll offer general medical advice, and if needed, they’ll guide you to a specialist.
For emergencies, please call your local emergency number right away.
Can the doctor give me a prescription?
Yes, if it’s medically appropriate and allowed by the telemedicine rules in your country. In some cases, the doctor may ask you to visit a local pharmacy to pick up medication.
Can I speak to the same doctor as a follow up?
Yes, if the doctor you saw is available, we’ll do our best to connect you with them again for any follow-up appointments.
Are there any medical conditions this service cannot treat?
There are a few. If our doctors feel they can’t help with your issue, they’ll provide a referral or let you know what steps to take next.
